Description:
An examination of operations management and its
application to human, capital, material, equipment, information, and technology
resource allocation in the context of diverse social, cultural and economic
environments influencing the globalization of marketplace, organization, systems
integration, and strategic planning.
Prerequisites: None
Course Objectives:
1. An intermediate level study of Global Operations
Management its origins, purpose and future.
2. An understanding of the global
operational and competitive challenges of the world as a global village.
3.
Involvement of the student in team discussions through case studies; focusing on
international issues of management, implementation, integration, strategic
planning and global thinking.
Exit Competencies:
Upon completion of the course, the student shall
have demonstrated the ability to comprehend, and appreciate global operations
management theories, concepts and processes in diverse social, cultural, and
economic environments.

Course Attendance, Activities, Assignments and Grading
Policies:
Attendance at all classes is strongly recommended and College
attendance Policy will apply. Regardless of attendance, a student is responsible
to study for all missed lectures, and submit all assignments. A student is
required to complete readings when assigned, submit all assignments in time,
maintain all lecture notes and take all tests and final exam.
Eight class/case study assignments, One mid-term test and a final exam will be given.

| One Mid-term test will be worth | 20 % |
| Final Exam will be worth | 40 % |
| Total | 100 % |
Final Grade will be given according to the College Grading Criteria. A student must obtain a minimum of 50% in the final exam to be awarded a final grade.
