Course Description:
Survey of the field which would include legal and cultural environment of international business; international financial system; management of international operations; personnel and labor relations; international marketing; international economics, trade, and finance; multinational enterprise; international accounting; and multinational organizations.

Prerequisites: MGT 231, MKT 241

Course Objectives:
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
A. Understand theories of international economics and trade.
B. Comprehend the structure of multinational firms.
C.Describe the activities and responsibilities of international organizations.
D. Identify how and why various factors, such as physical conditions, culture, and politics, influence the international firm.
E. Use management tools in the international business arena.

Examinations:
In case of an unexpected school closure (i.e. snow storm) on exam day, first session after the opening will be the test day.

Attendance:
Attendance at all classes is a course requirement. Each student is responsible for keeping up with all assignments and all material covered in the course, whether or not he/she was present in class.

Grading:
The students will be graded in the following manner:

Class Attendance, Discussion, and News Clips 10%
Exams ( 3 @ 30% each) 90%

The last day on which withdrawal from the course is permitted with a "W" grade is the last day of the tenth week of the semester.
