1996-1997
¨ As a result of cooperation between the Graduate School, Non-Traditional Programs’ Center for International Education, and School of business and Economics’ Center for International Business and Economic Studies which was coordinated by Massoud, Salem State College’s President Nancy Harrington and Montpelier Graduate School of Commerce’s President Didier Jourdan located in France, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on International Exchange Programs in September 1996.
¨ Massoud attended a joint conference sponsored by the Council of Presidents and The Massachusetts State College Association entitled “Retention” in Worcester, MA on 13 November 1996.
¨ He also attended Massachusetts Council for International Education (MaCIE) annual conference on 22 November 1996 in Boston, MA.
¨ On 6 December 1996 Massoud made a presentation to the Glover School’s students and faculty in Marblehead entitled “Persian/Iranian Culture and Traditions.” His co-presenter was his daughter Layla Jasmine!
¨ Center for International Business and Economic Studies (CIBES), under the directorship of Professor Massoud Farahbakhsh, co-sponsored a Business Institute conducted in June 1997 for 37 participants entitled “Pacific-Asian Management – An Examination of Manufacturing, Marketing, and Management Practices of Pacific-Asian Countries.”
¨ CIBES also submitted a grant proposal to the U.S. Department of Defense National Security Education Program (NSEP).
¨ Through the Division of Non-Traditional Programs, Massoud assisted in developing a Certificate Program in Business for International Professionals.
