Our staff provides preventive and episodic (illness) care to all Salem State students. Our goal is to help students achieve and maintain optimum physical and emotional health by providing high quality, accessible and affordable health care. We offer primary medical care, consultation on health-related issues, health promotion programs, and referrals and collaboration with area providers. Most services are available free of charge, although certain diagnostic tests are billed to your health insurance. Our staff includes nurse practitioners and a supervising physician who are supported by administrative support staff
Our health care team is committed to providing high quality and timely services to our students. If your condition requires more specialized services we will assist to coordinate your referral to a specialist.
Services available:
· Routine or annual physical exams
· Annual gynecological exams, including pap smears
· Reproductive Health- on site birth control, emergency contraception, counseling
· Sexually transmitted disease testing and counseling
· Diagnosis and treatment of minor illness and injury
· Routine lab testing
· Tobacco cessation counseling with trained providers
Appointments are required for health services. A limited number of same day appointments are available to students with an episodic illness or injury. Call 978.542.6413 or 978.542.6410 to schedule an appointment with a Salem State healthcare provider.
