| Linda S. Jones, Ed.D., Director |
|
Dr. Linda Jones is the director
of Counseling & Health Services. She has worked at SSC since 1986. Dr.
Jones is a licensed psychologist having earned a Doctor of Education in
Counseling Psychology from Boston University in 1985. Her particular areas
of interest include life transitions, depression, anxiety, bereavement,
women’s issues, gay/lesbian issues, and sexual assault. |
| Elisa Castillo, Ph.D., Psychologist and Training Director |

Elisa Castillo is a licensed psychologist and director of training here at Counseling & Health Services at Salem State College. She earned her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico, and her MA and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology for the University of Wisconsin-Madison. For the last 4 years, she has been working in college mental health, with a special interest in multicultural counseling and clinical supervision. She enjoys helping students reach their goals by finding a healthy balance in their lives. She is experienced in working with students who are struggling with depression and anxiety, relational concerns, identity exploration, issues of students of color in higher education and trauma. She provides services in English and Spanish.

| Lynne Gunter-Silva |

Lynne Gunter-Silva is one of
CHS’ administrative assistants. She has worked at SSC since 1975,
first in the Affirmative Action/ Personnel office and with Counseling &
Health Services since 1983. Ms Gunter-Silva earned an AA in secretarial
sciences from North Shore Community College and additional certificates
from SSC and NSCC, and is particularly interested in providing excellent
customer service to our students. |
| Karen Hruska, M.A., LMHC |

Karen Hruska is the coordinator of the ADEPT Program. She specializes in substance abuse counseling, health and wellness psychology, relationship issues and helping students transform stuck behaviors. Karen is known for her energy and enthusiasm in helping students set and achieve their goals-- having taught at a college level for years she understands what it takes to be successful in and out of the college classroom. Along with individual counseling Karen will do class or students group presentations. |
| Nathalie Hebert, MSN, APRN |

Nathalie Hebert is a nurse practitioner and the assistant director for the Office of Counseling & Health Services. After completing basic nursing training in Canada, she attended the University of Pennsylvania and graduated in 1995 with a MSN in adult primary care. Since then, she has worked in college health at Bentley College and the University of Pittsburgh. In addition, she has clinical experience in urgent care, gastroenterology and palliative care. Her professional interests are in women's health, infectious disease and public health policy. |
| Juliet Carty |

Juliet Carty is an Administrative Assistant in CHS. She joined the Health Services department in January 2006. Juliet has prior experience working in veterinary clinic settings, as well as, in community health settings where she worked with a diverse multicultural population. With a strong professional interest in providing excellent customer service, she is enjoying working with the SSC community |

John Beaulieu is the chief
physician of Health Services. He attended SSC and the University of Mass.
Medical Center. He has worked here since 1990, and his professional specialty
is internal medicine. |
| Margaret Muise, RN |

Peggy Muise is the staff nurse
in Health Services. She attended the Salem Hospital School of Nursing and
is certified in college health. She has worked at SSC since 1986, and her
specialization is college health. |
| Joan Sweeney, MSN, FNP |
|

Joan Sweeney is a nurse practitioner in Health Services. She joined CHS in fall 2004 after working in a community health setting. Ms. Sweeney attended the University of Southern Maine where she earned a bachelor of science in nursing and later complete a master of science in family and community health nursing from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Her professional interest is women's health. |

Erik M. Gregory, Ph.D.
|
Dr. Gregory received his PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his Masters degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He has held appointments with the National Cancer Institute in Hawaii, the Spencer Foundation, and the University of Chicago. He completed his clinical internship at the Tavistock Institute in London and served as a clinical associate at the Harvard Medical School, Department of Psychiatry. He has lectured internationally including Oxford and Cambridge Universities on subjects including creativity and resiliency psychology. He currently is an Associate Director for the Fielding Institute. Dr. Gregory specializes in positive psychology, a field that examines healthy human functioning such as courage, hope, optimism, and happiness. He has worked internationally with children and adolescents as a psychotherapist and has consulted with leaders in higher education, media, and business to improve personal and professional functioning. |

Meredith Klump
|
Meredith Klump is in her fourth year of the clinical psychology doctoral program at Suffolk University. She completed her masters in 2006 and has worked in various settings, including a community mental health center and a state hospital. She has had the opportunity to work with diverse populations in terms of culture, gender, sexual orientation, and age. Her experiences include short- and long-term individual and group therapy, as well as neuropsychological assessment. Her professional interests include recovery from and prevention of sexual assault, LGBT issues, and the utilization of acceptance and mindfulness interventions in therapy.

| Kathryn Stutz |
Kathryn Stutz is currently a doctoral student in clinical psychology at the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego. Kathryn was a psychology intern at West Roxbury High School last year were she provided one-on-one counseling to the students as well as leading an empowerment teen issues group for students. She gained valuable knowledge and experience working with students coping with trauma, destructive relationships, anxiety, aggression, family issues, and depression. Her personal interests in psychology include working with children, families, and young adults. She is interested in health psychology, women's issues, family systems, self-destructive behaviors, and resiliency as well.

| Kristen White |
Kristen White is in her second year of the PsyD program at the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. She completed her BA in Psychology from Virginia Wesleyan College and has since worked in various settings specifically dealing with adolescents. Her placements include a middle school, high school, private hospital, and multiple residential homes. Her experience ranges from individual, long and short-term therapy, to large and small group work. Her professional interests include eating disorder prevention and treatment, group thought and behavior, and the application of psychology to issues relevant to law and the legal system. |
