Immunizations

Massachusetts law requires full-time students, full-time and part-time health science students, and all international students to be immunized against measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria, tetanus, and hepatitis B. Documentation confirming the immunizations must be submitted before enrollment. There are other vaccines you may want to receive such as varicella (chicken pox), hepatitis A, and influenza.

Meningococcal Meningitis Vaccine:

Accepted students living in the residence halls are required by Massachusetts state law to receive the meningococcal meningitis vaccine. The vaccine is usually available through your primary care provider office or the local public health department. Students may choose not to receive the vaccine by signing and returning the waiver to Health Services before September 12, 2007.

Student Health Insurance

Each student registered for 9 or more credits is required by state law to be enrolled in a health insurance plan. You need to indicate by an annual deadline whether you are already covered, or whether you will need to enroll in the student health insurance program.
