In Homage J.S.B. - Beverly Soll Solo Recital

A program of solo piano music written by or inspired by Bach, featuring Johann Sebastian Bach's English Suite in G minor, Felix Mendelssohn's Variations Sérieuses, and Franz Liszt's Variations on a ground bass from Bach's Cantata, Weinen, Klagen, Sorgen, Sagen. Andrew Soll will join Beverly for the final two pieces on the program, a 4-hand transcription of Bach's famous melody, Sheep May Safely Graze, and the raucous, 'welltempered' Ragtime by 20th century master Paul Hindemith, based on the subject of the Fugue in C Minor from Bach's Well-tempered Klavier. Admission is free.
