Afghan Women's Craft Sale
For the third year, the political science department will host an Afghan Women's Craft Sale in our conference room (Meier Hall 333A) during the last two weeks of the semester. The sale starts this Tuesday, December 4. All proceeds benefit the Shuhada Organization, an NGO that runs health, education, and empowerment projects for women and girls in Kabul and central Afghanistan. The organization was founded by Dr. Sima Samar. For more information, see shuhada.org.af/.
Crafts include hand-made jewelry, scarfs, dolls and embroidered wallets, purses, key chains, and other pouches that are perfect for cell phones and kindles. Crafts will be available for purchase on the following dates and times in the political science department conference room (Meier Hall 333A):
Tuesday, December 4: 10 am-1 pm
Wednesday, December 5: 7:30-9 am
Friday, December 7: 10 am-12:30 pm
Monday, December 10: 2-6 pm
Tuesday, December 11: 10 am-noon
And other times by appointment
