Directions To Cat Cove:

Aim for the smokestacks of the adjacent power generating facility. If you elect to navigate by streets the following route will get you to Cat Cove. Be forewarned this is New England, and street signs are not always present or visible.

1. Follow Rt 95/128 to the Rt 114 exit
2. Take the exit toward Salem. Be careful, the route is convoluted. Distance traveled is approximately 5 miles
3. When 114 goes over "Bridge Street" (the only over-pass) take a right onto the Bridge Street exit.
4. Proceed to the stop sign at the base of the exit and take a RIGHT onto Bridge Street. Signs directing visitors to the "Willows Amusement Park" are posted along the way and are an excellent guide. Cat Cove is located adjacent and before the Willows.
5. Stay on Bridge Street through two rotaries (one very visible, the second is more of an island with a flashing light)
6. Shortly after the second rotary (1-2 blocks) you turn RIGHT onto Webb St. (you can’t turn left, there is no street). There is a sign for the Willows, continue following these signs.
7. Remain on Webb Street for 1/2 mile, it will "y" intersect with Fort Avenue.
8. Follow Fort Avenue for 3/4 mile and Cat Cove is on your right. (There is a BIG steel gray sign announcing Cat Cove as part of NEMAC = Northeastern Massachusetts Aquaculture Center)
9. Enter and park in the lot on your right.
10. If you miss the turn into the Cat Cove Marine Laboratory and go too far,
you will be confronted by an amusement park and the ocean!
11. If all else fails, you can call the Cat Cove Marine Laboratory at 978-542-6821.

Good luck!!!
