Poet Marcia Karp and Prose Writer Regina Robbins Flynn
Marcia Karp has published poems and translations in The Times Literary Supplement, Oxford Magazine, The Warwick Review, Ploughshares, Harvard Review, Literary Imagination, Partisan Review, and Free Inquiry. Her work is included in: Penguin Books’ Catullus in English and Petrarch in English; Joining Music with Reason: 34 Poets, British and American, Oxford 2004-2009 (Waywiser); and The Word Exchange: Anglo-Saxon Poems in Translation (Norton). She writes literary criticism for The Arts Fuse website. She read her poems at Balliol College, Michaelmas Term 2005, at the invitation of the Oxford Professor of Poetry, Christopher Ricks.
Regina Robbins Flynn is the coordinator of the professional writing program at Salem State. She received her MFA in writing from Vermont College and also holds an MA in English from Salem State. Her work has appeared in The Boston Globe, The Chronicle of Higher Education, North Shore Sunday, and other publications. She served as a member of the Salem City Council from 1995 to 2003, and was elected Council president in 2002.
