Hand Blown Glass

John Volpacchio has been mastering the caft of making Venetian goblets for the past seven years. In doing so, he has traveled to study in Venice, Italy, and Corning, NY. Volpacchio has had the honored pleasure of learning the techniques and artistry of goblet making from such maestros as Elio Quarisa and Lino Tagliapietra. Volpacchio's goblets incorporate historical influences with a fusion of modern design. Volpacchio states, "The challenges inherent in the successful execution of a finely crafted and well designed goblet are infinite. When the specific elements all come together, it is one of the most rewarding experiences for a glassblower." John is currently the Coodinator of Student Art & Design Exhibitions at the Enterprise Center.
