| Professor Raudzens completed her graduate work in art history in Florence, Italy. Additional graduate course work was undertaken through Harvard University and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her undergraduate work in painting was completed at Massachusetts College of Art. Studying and traveling have been an important part of her life. She has traveled in Europe, Sweden, the American Southwest, and Egypt. Professor Raudzens teaches Prehistoric, Ancient and Medieval Art; Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo Art; Women, Art and Ideology; Introduction to World Art, and Topics in Renaissance Art. Her current research includes two areas of interest, the Renaissance Workshop, and Opus Anglicanum, English religious embroidery produced by women in the Middle Ages. She continues her research on the history of women artists. Periodically she reviews manuscript submissions from various publishers of art history texts. Most recently, Professor Raudzens contributed to the revisions of chapters on Renaissance art in the tenth and eleventh editions of Gardens Art Through the Ages. |
