Northeast Arc
The Salem State University Alumni Association has teamed up with Northeast Arc to adopt a house right near campus on Linden Street. The Northeast Arc is a non-profit, 501(c)3, disability service organization whose grassroots foundation was built by a small group of parents, siblings and individuals in the 1950's. Through our alumni association, members gather once a month to have dinner with these residents while developing relationships with them. Members will take the residents to a variety of activities including sporting and theater events at Salem State University. The members also help with day-to-day repairs that need to be fixed throughout the house along with a snow removal program where students from Salem State University will come down to their house and shovel the sidewalks and stairs for them.
