The best way to learn about a college community is to visit the campus. We love our campus and offer many opportunities for you to explore the college; we also hope you will spend time in the Salem area to get a feel for our campus and our community!
Open Houses
A Saturday open house is a great way to learn more about what Salem State College has to offer. There is no need to make an appointment - just come and join us to learn more about the campus. Early morning campus tours begin at 8:45 am leaving from our Dining Commons on North Campus. The Open House program begins at 10 am at our Mainstage Auditorium on North Campus. Come see why Salem State College is the right choice for you!
2009 Saturday Open Houses will be held on: September 26, October 24, and November 21.
Campus Tours
Come to Salem State College for a guided tour led by one of our Admissions Ambassadors. Our Admissions Ambassadors are Salem State College students who will provide you with a wealth of information about what it is like to be a student here, including information about student groups and activities, and campus life. The Admissions Ambassadors will guide you through our main campus and show you one of our typical dorm rooms. Come and visit us today! Campus tours are offered Monday through Friday, last approximately one hour, and leave from the Admissions Office located on Central Campus at 121 Loring Avenue. To schedule a tour, click here.
Group Tours
If you wish to bring a group of more than 10 students, please contact Admissions at 978.542.6749 so that appropriate accommodations can be made.
Informational Interviews
Interviews are not required, but we always welcome the opportunity to speak with you about entrance requirements, majors or any concerns you may have. If you wish to schedule an interview, you must bring a copy of your academic credentials. To schedule your appointment, please call us at 978.542.6200.
On The Spot Admissions
We offer you the opportunity to with an admissions representative for an On the Spot Admissions decision. These appointments may not provide official decisions for all majors, but will provide you with insight to the admissions process. If you wish to schedule an interview, you must bring a copy of your academic credentials. We do not provide On the Spot Admission for freshman students in Music or Art; for transfer students in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Music or Art. High School, Community College, and Two-Year College Visits
Admissions representatives visit high schools and two-year colleges throughout the New England area. The admissions staff visitng schedule will soon be posted on this site.
