Transfer Students
If you are a student transferring from a college or university to SSC, please see Transfer Admissions & Articulation. After being accepted, you'll receive a Transfer Credit Evaluation (TCE), which lists courses that are being accepted and their Salem State College course equivalency. If the equivalency of a course is in question it will appear in the evaluation as "Department Discretion." A course description from your previous school(s) submitted to the appropriate department may be helpful in expediting the evaluation process.
Day student transfer credits are processed through Transfer Admissions & Articulation and the Registrar's Office. Evening student transfer credits are processed through Academic Advising and the Registrar's Office. If a course on your TCE appears as "Department Discretion" you may contact one of these offices to determine how you may be helpful in completing the evaluation process.
