Financial Aid Attendance Week Policy

Federal Financial Aid regulations require that class attendance be documented for students attending colleges and universities that disburse Federal financial aid funds. As a result, the faculty will take attendance in all classes during the week of November 9 through November 13, 2009. Students receiving any type of financial aid should make every effort to attend class during that week since failure to attend could affect your financial aid status. If you are ill or other extenuating circumstances prevent you from attending class during the census week, you should contact your professors to inform them of the reason for your absence.

If you have never attended or are no longer attending classes, you are encouraged to do an official withdrawal or leave of absence through the Registrar’s Office. Please note that financial aid can be adjusted at any time during the academic year for non-attendance.  This is why it becomes particularly important to complete an official withdrawal from class if you are no longer attending.

Should you have any questions about this matter, please do not hesitate to contact the Financial Aid Office. The office telephone number is 978.542.6112.
