Deadlines
Meeting deadlines is vital to assure that you receive the maximum eligible aid.
FAFSA'sfor this academic year (2011-2012) are currently available online.
Salem State's priority deadline was March 1. Aid is awarded on a first come basis and students are urged to file their FAFSA as soon as possible to ensure they receive the most aid they are eligible to receive.* Returning students should be aware that they will not be awarded any aid until their file is complete, regardless of the date they file their FAFSA. Please check your "To Do" list on Navigator frequently to be sure that we do not need additional information.
Massachusetts residents should be aware that the state's FAFSA deadline to be considered for Mass Grant is May 1.
* Financial aid is awarded on a funds available basis and the potential to miss out on certain funding is a reality as the award process progresses through the spring.
