You may have to take one or more admissions tests, depending on the program to which you are applying. Because testing requirements vary by program, check your program's admissions information to confirm all testing requirements.
Explanation of Tests

The GRE is a computer-based test that measures verbal, quantitative, and analytical reasoning skills and is administered at test centers throughout the United States.

- Generally you are exempt from submitting test scores for the MAT or GRE if you already hold a master's degree or higher. Some programs do require your degree to be in a related field, so check your program’s specific test exemptions.
- You may be exempt from the MTEL if you already hold a teaching license (initial or professional) in the area in which you will be earning your master's degree. You should check with the appropriate graduate program coordinator for more information.
- Again, testing requirements vary from program to program, so check your program specific admissions requirements for testing information.
