Art History

The Art History Concentration provides an opportunity to acquire a broad background in Western and Non-Western art. It prepares the student for graduate study leading to MA and PhD degrees. Upon completion of graduate study, career opportunities in museum work, art restoration, teaching and research are available. Courses in the concentration include Prehistoric, Ancient & Medieval Art; Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo Art; Arts in America; 19th and 20th Century Art; Far Eastern Art; African, Native American and Oceanic Art; Topics in Contemporary Art; History of Photography; History of Graphic Design; Women, Art and Ideology; and Topics in Renaissance Art.
