The first half of the practicum is completed in the United States. Students in the program are supervised by faculty from both Salem State and Bradford Colleges.

The Yorkshire area provides a myriad of cultural and recreational activities. Explore castles, the walled city of York, Bolton Abbey, and Ripon Minster. The English literature lover will delight in the parsonage home of the Bronte sisters in nearby Haworth, while the nature lover can hike in the many footpaths in the moors. For the city person, Leeds, a major cosmopolitan city, offers theater, shopping, dining, and further study at universities, libraries, museums, and art galleries.
This program has been presented as an innovative model at professional conferences held throughout the United States and at world congresses in Australia and South Africa.
