Foreign Languages faculty to participate at the Northeast Modern Language Association meeting

Three faculty members from the Foreign Languages department at Salem State University will speak at the upcoming NEMLA (Northeast Modern Language Association) conference in Montreal, Canada, in April 2010.

Dr. Anna Rocca will present research on Algerian writer Assia Djebar entitled “Assia Djebar Between Spaces and Places: Words, Sounds and Bodies.”

Dr. Kristine Doll will moderate a panel of speakers on the topic of “Translation as Transformative Experience.”

Dr. Michele Davila will present “When the Spirits Dance Mambo: African Tradition in the Puerto Rican Diaspora.”
