Earth Science Association

Earth Science Association Logo

We promote and organize educational and entertaining activities to increase knowledge and awareness of the geological sciences.

The Earth Science Association (ESA) is a student organization open to any Salem State student interested in the earth sciences. Throughout the year the association sponsors field trips, trips to local and national professional conferences, lectures, and social events in cooperation with the Geological Sciences department. Fossil and mineral collecting trips, hikes in the White Mountains, local geology field trips, and excursions to museums are common planned activities.

ESA is not just for geology majors, but anyone who enjoys the outdoors and avid rocks/minerals/fossils collectors.  Our number one priority is getting students involved in activities and outings.
