Seeking applicants for new tenure track position in Geology/Environmental Geology
The Department of Geological Sciences at Salem State College invites applications for a new tenure track Assistant Professor position to teach undergraduate/graduate geology/environmental geology courses in areas that complement existing faculty expertise. The faculty member is expected to conduct an active research program that involves undergraduates and will participate in the departmental geology field camp in Montana. The faculty member will apply current teaching techniques and technology. The faculty member is also expected to contribute to the professional growth and development of the department and the college community. Subject to available funding.
A PhD in Geology is required by the time of appointment (September 2010), and it is preferred that the candidate has some teaching experience at the undergraduate level and experience in distance learning and instructional technologies.
All transcripts and three letters of reference are required for a complete application. In addition, the successful candidate will provide statements of teaching philosophy and research interests.
