Education:
2007: Studies in Archaeology at Wheaton College in Wheaton Illinois as part of undergraduate degree.
2008: B.A. in Biblical Studies, concentration in Jewish Studies. Gordon College in Wenham, MA.
2010: M.A. in History and Geography, emphasis in Historical Geography of the Middle East during the Second Temple Period. Jerusalem University College, Jerusalem Israel
Employment:
2004-Present: Instructor and Belayer at La Vida Center for Outdoor Education and Leadership of Gordon College
2005-2008: Teacher's Assistant at Gordon College under Dr. Marvin Wilson
2007-Present: Hebrew Instructor/Tutor for private students
2006-Present: Instructor/ tutor of Historical Maps of the Ancient Near East at Gordon College
2009-Present: Tour Guide/ Tour Facilitator throughout Israel and her surroundings on a per-request basis
2011-Present: Visiting Lecturer of Geography at Salem State University
Professional Interests
Geography with an emphasis in cultural and historical Geography of the Middle East.
Travel and tourism, international living (Ex-Pat living).
Outdoor education and leadership.
Ancient Languages: translation, research, interpretation.
Archaeology of the Ancient Near East.
Israel advocacy: Recipient of the 2008 Genesis Award for efforts as President of the Israel Initiative of Gordon College
Personal Interests
While Nicole loves Geography and enjoys teaching various Geography classes at Salem State, she also enjoys teaching other subjects as well. As an Outdoor Educator, Nicole enjoys teaching kayaking, hiking, belaying, rock climbing, camping, and other outdoor activities. Nicole also enjoys traveling not just to enjoy a vacation but to reasearch and learn about different cultures, histories, languages, and of course cuisine!
