"I am a small town girl from Maine and I knew I wanted to go to school out of state. I was familiar with the area of Salem as most of my family is from Massachusetts. I was really attracted to the small size of Salem State. During my freshman orientation the staff was very helpful and friendly, so I knew Salem State was just the school for me.

My academic experience here at Salem State has been nothing but the best. The Criminal Justice faculty as well as all our other faculty members here have been astounding and are always there to lend a helping hand. All of the professors offer office hours where you can go to get extra help or if you are even just concerned with a grade you got on an exam. I can say my academic experience has been great!

I am still not 100 percent sure what I want to do with my major although I would love to pursue I career in forensics. I hope to eventually go to graduate school to get my masters in criminal justice and would love to gain more knowledge about my major to help with my career down the road."
