Professional Biography
I have had the pleasure of working here at Salem State since my appointment in 2008. I graduated with a BS in Biology from Fairfield University in 1999. After working at MGH on breast cancer research, and working as an EMT, I decided I wanted to become a nurse. I returned to school and received my Master of Science in Nursing from Yale University in 2004. Since then, I have worked both as a Pediatric Nurse and Pediatric NP in in-patient and out-patient settings. One thing I discovered I liked as much as nursing was teaching nursing students. I began teaching students in clinical settings, and then teaching full time once my first son was born in 2006. I love working with nursing students and helping them develop their own passion for nursing.
