||Explorations of the Professional Nursing Role

This course is designed to meet the learning needs of the licensed nurse. They will explore the conceptual framework of the curriculum and examine issues of professionalism, knowledge base, control of practice and societal expectations for the professional nurse of today and tomorrow. This will be achieved through a variety of methodologies, which include discussion, writing, and presentations. Drafts of writing assignments will include peer review as well as faculty feedback on both writing quality and content. The course is three seminar hours per week. It is offered only through the Division of Graduate and Continuing Education for the Post-Licensure student..
