Essex LINCS

IDS professor Elizabeth Duclos-Orsello has been working for two years with History Dept. colleagues and regional historic sites and archives to train Essex County K-5 teachers in new ways to approach and teach US history in their classrooms. The summer institute component of this program takes an interdisciplinary approach introducing teachers to art history, material culture and literature as ways to engage and excite their students. Teachers can earn 3 graduate credits (IDS 763) for this work. For more information see Essex LINCS.
