Test Preparation Resources in the School of Education Student Services Center

MTEL Teacher Test Preparation Resources

The MTELs (Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure) are a series of tests that are required as part of the process to become a licensed public school teacher in the state of Massachusetts.

Here at Salem State we support our students in their preparation for these tests in a variety of ways.

We offer:

  • Small group preparation sessions for the Communication and Literacy Skills as well as the Foundations of Reading MTELs
  • A resource library of preparation materials for students to use in our MTEL Center
  • Peer lead study groups for some of the content-based MTELs available spring 2016
  • Resources on the Education Students Canvas page that can be used in conjunction with the bootcamps and study groups or for independent preparation
POLICY NOTE: Salem State graduates may access these services for one year after graduation. Prospective students may access these services once they have paid their application fee.

Please visit us in Sullivan 304, email, or call 978.542.2854 for schedule and availability specifics for our preparation programs.
