Counseling & Psychological Services - Curriculum

We help you devise a program of study that reflects your interests and supports your career goals.  Best of all, we will work with you to establish an optimum schedule that fits into your life.  You may enroll on a part-time or full-time basis, and our courses are offered in the evening, all year long.

Specializations

We offer three specializations

  • Mental Health Counseling
  • Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Industrial/Organizational Counseling

All specializations lead to eligibility as a Mental Health Counselor.  In addition, if you complete the Marriage and Family Therapy specialization you are eligible for licensure in that field.

Practicum and Internship

All students must complete a practicum and internship, both of which can be individualized to meet your needs.  The practicum includes experiences such as direct service work with clients and individual and group supervision.  The internship, which occurs after the practicum, allows you to perform activities that a regularly-employed staff member would be expected to perform.
