Description
This course examines sociological and psychological perspectives in intercultural communication. Students explore issues of power, gender, religion, ethnocentrism, and racism. Practical guidelines for communicating across diverse racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, regional, and national cultures are studied. Field research includes artwork, artifacts, and films from different cultures. Three lecture hours per week.
