Description
This course applies the fundamental concepts and analytical frameworks introduced to students in POL251 to a series of current issues in international relations (IR). These current issues will represent the range of major issue-areas in IR-- international governance, international security, international political economy, and global social welfare, and each of the issues will be analyzed in detail in a discussion-oriented setting. As such, extensive student interaction and participation will be expected in the course. Three lecture hours per week. POL 251 is recommended but not required as a prerequisite.
