School of Graduate Studies - Faculty Research Support
The School of Graduate Studies administers and funds the following programs to support the research and creative activities of full-time, tenure-track or tenured faculty.
Support is available to faculty whether or not they are "graduate faculty" or teach graduate courses. All proposals are reviewed by the Graduate Research Committee, which is composed of faculty from each of the schools, appointed by the MSCA, along with School of Graduate Studies administrators.
Available Programs
Seed Money Grants
Provides up to $3,000 in aid in the preparation of grant proposals for submission to outside funding sources for projects that will ultimately result in publication, performance, exhibition, or government contract.

Summer Research and Creative Activity Grants
Supports research or creative activities that will result in publication, presentation at a major professional conference, performance, exhibition, or government contract. The grant is not intended for the development of curricular materials.

Research and Creative Activities Mini-Grants
Promotes the scholarship/research/publication/performances of our faculty by providing modest amounts of money to enable faculty to take advantage of opportunities. There are four review cycles throughout the year.
