On Friday, January 13, 2012, the College of Arts and Sciences faculty and staff, having worked meticulously on a strategic plan during previous retreats, planned and participated in an entirely different annual retreat--a wellness agenda entitled CAS Field Day: Relax and Connect with Colleagues. Faculty and staff shared personal skills and passions with interested colleagues.
Purposeful time was also organized to connect with different departments across the Arts and Sciences. Activities included yoga, painting, improvisation, storytelling, board games, glassblowing, ceramics, knitting, dancing, Tai Chi, wellness 101. Participants highlighted “getting together with faculty I rarely see”; “a relaxed environment where we were able to learn new things.”
