This course adopts a social problem framework to examine and critically analyze health policies, health service delivery, and overall financing and organization of health care in America. Inequalities in health care services, disparities in incidence and scope of illness, and demographically-linked variations in access to health care resources and health outcomes will be examined. a critical lens will be applied to an examination of structural, institutional, and political factors that sustain these inequalities. Prerequisite: SWK802.
