Description
This course begins the preparation of advanced generalist, multi-method social work practitioners. It involves an examination of the organizing principles, themes, ethics, and values for practice. It introduces students to methods of engagement, assessment, intervention, and evaluation of outcomes with individuals, families and groups. Attention is placed on skill development in contracting, goal setting, relationship building, and interviewing skills within the overarching themes of diversity and social justice. Prerequisite: SWK700.
