Dr. Michael Waclawiczek is well respected marketing and product management executive in the enterprise software industry in the Greater Boston Area. Over 25 years, he has launched more than 20 major software products generating over $1B in total license revenue. Michael has held several executive and senior management positions at private and public companies including expressor software, StreamBase Systems, Kalido, IONA Technologies, Object Design, ICAD, and Siemens Unigraphics. Prior to his corporate experience, Michael was Assistant Professor at the Technical University of Vienna, Austria, where he also received his Master's and Doctorate degrees in Mechanical Engineering.
Dr. Michael Waclawiczek has a strong academic background and teaching background. As Assistant Professor, Michael was teaching fluid mechanics and heat transfer classes at the Technical University in Vienna. Michael has joined Salem State in 2008 as a part-time Visiting Lecturer and has taught project management, database management, and information management classes at the university.
Dr. Michael Waclawiczek is Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at expressor software (http://www.expressor-software.com). Expressor software is a Burlington, MA, startup company that develops and markets innovative data integration software. The company's products are used by enterprises for data migration, BI/data warehousing, data consolidation, data governance, master data management, and operational data integration initiatives. Michael also has his own consultancy, JumpStart Associates (www.jmpst.com), which helps startups to bring their software products to market.
Michael has published his doctor thesis on the topic of "predicting the transient pressures and air flows caused by trains passing through single lane railroad tunnels with air shafts".
