Professional Biography

Judith (Judy) Parker Kent earned a BS in Biology from Adelphi University, an MS in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University, an OTD in Occupational Therapy with a focus in Neuro-Occupation from Creighton University and an EdS in Computing Technology in Education from Nova Southeastern University.  She has published articles and book chapters focusing on pediatrics and Complementary Care.  She has lectured nationally on children, complementary care, and education and most recently in scholarship in occupational therapy.

Dr. Kent was honored by the American Occupational Therapy Association in 2007 with an appointment to the Roster of Fellows for her work as an "Innovator, Educator and Leader in Occupational Therapy.  In 2004 she received a Recognition of Achievement Award for "Complementary Care Pioneer, Leadership in Technical Education and Advocate."

Dr. Kent has held several offices in the American Occupational Therapy Association with her most recent one as Education Development Coordinator for the Education Special Interest Section of the American Occupational Therapy Association. (2010-2013).
