|Title||Graduate Practicum in Teaching English as a Second Language|
A 300 hour supervised student teaching experience in teaching English language learners (ELLS) in a Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) or English as a Second Language (ESL) classroom. Practicum students are supported by cooperating teachers and Salem State University faculty supervisors as they develop their professional knowledge and skills in teaching ELLS. Designed to meet DESE guidelines for licensed teachers seeking an additional teacher educator license in ESL. Co-requisite: EDU 779. Permission of program coordinator is needed.
