Description
This course examines current methods and approaches to teaching ESL and places them in historical context. Teachers are exposed to classroom practices that best allow for the development of language in English language learners in grades K-12. Topics may include contextualized units, literacy development, the role of grammar instruction, evaluation and planning, and teacher reflection and research (25 hour pre-practicum).
