|Title||Theories and Principles in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages|
This course examines history, research, educational laws and regulations, and current and historical theories and methods, applied to teaching English language learners (ELLs). Topics include the cognitive, psychological, political, and individual learner variables that affect ELLs. Students will relate the theories and practices studied in the course to their own experiences as language teachers and learners. 15 pre-practicum hours are required.
