Description
This course focuses on evidence-based strategies for teaching reading and writing to all children in a multicultural setting. Topics include word analysis, comprehension, vocabulary, writing, guided reading, and independent reading. The role of literacy assessment in differentiating instruction will be emphasized and students will complete a case study of a child?s literacy development with recommendations for instruction.
