Description
This course explores research, theory, and best practices in the field of reading and learning disabilities. It draws from the field of speech-language pathology, special education, English language learning, occupational therapy, and literacy. Course content includes historical perspectives on reading and learning disabilities, assessment, diagnosis, and remediation, and the effects of various kinds of learning disabilities on the acquisition of literacy. Pre-requisite: EDU725 Intro to Literacy Practices in EIEd and ECE.
