Description
Introduces students to an array of instructional strategies appropriate to the needs of diverse learners and subject matter with emphasis on standards-based design and alignment with curriculum frameworks. Topics include pedagogical approaches, lesson planning, assessment, classroom management, and learning theory as they apply to adolescent learners in general and to those with specfic learning needs. Three lecture hours per week plus 25 hours of field experience. Required of all students in the Bachelor of Science in Education: Middle School concentration and for Secondary Education minors.
