Bachelor of Science in Education

The bachelor of science degree in education offers both licensure and non-licensure programs. You may major or minor in education with or without completing the licensure program. Completing the major or minor without licensure will prepare you to work in a variety of educational roles and settings outside public school classrooms, including child care centers, community education programs, residential centers, and private industry. Licensure programs approved by the Massachusetts Department of Education (MADOE) and the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) prepare candidates for Massachusetts licensure and for further graduate study.
