This year the Economics Club plans to continue its participation in economics contests at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. In 2007 a four student team from Salem State competed in the regional New England contest against 18 other colleges including MIT, Harvard, Dartmouth, and BC. The Salem State team -- Isaiah Hull, Henry Tsau and Kent Leung -- gave an excellent presentation and placed second as Harvard received the top prize.
Members of the Economics Club volunteer to score the Economics Challenge, a high school contest that is held annually in the Spring at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.
The Economics Club sponsors the Economics Department Speaker Series and other events during the year.
