Master of Education (MEd) in Special Education
The MEd in Special Education prepares teachers to work with students with mild to moderate disabilities in grades PK-8 or 5-12. Teachers can upgrade their knowledge and skills in the field of special education. The program also serves those with bachelor's or advanced degrees who want to gain a more comprehensive knowledge of special education in school systems. Parents, administrators and community service workers may benefit from this program.
Graduates are prepared to work in public schools with a continuum of services, from total inclusion to substantially separate settings. Some graduates may choose to work in private special education school programs.
