Professional Biography

D.M.A. University of Colorado/Boulder (Instrumental Conducting and Literature) M.M. University of Massachusetts/Amherst (Music Education/Instrumental Conducting) B.M. Keene State College, Keene, NH (Music Education) Dr. Aldrich is active as a wind band conductor, arranger, and author. His latest wind band arrangement of "Kakadu", by Australian composer Peter Sculthorpe, Faber Music/London, received its Australian premiere in March 2008, performed by the Grainger Wind Symphony in Melbourne. His written publications include a chapter in "The Music Director's Cookbook" (Saliferous Silence), Meredith Music/Hal Leonard, and "A Catalog of Folk Song Settings for Wind Band", also by Meredith Music/Hal Leonard.
