Professional Biography
Lance Eaton graduated from Salem State College in 2001 with a Bachelor's Degree in History and a minor in English. In 2006, he graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Boston with a Master's Degree in American Studies with a focus on Gender/Sexuality and Popular Culture. He also receiaved a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Suffolk University in 2008.
Lance began teaching at the college level in Fall 2006 at North Shore Community College and followed suit at Salem State College in Fall 2007. Since then, he has gone on to teach at other schools including Emerson College, University of Massachusetts in Lowell, and Tufts University. He has taught the following courses: World History I & II, American Literature 2, Introduction to Literature, Fiction into Film, Making Monsters: Manifestations of Fear, and The Comic Book in American Culture.
Besides his academic career, Lance has also been a regular contributor for Audiofile Magazine, Foreword Magazine, Publishers' Weekly, and Library Journal. He has been writing about audiobooks, graphic novels, and other popular culture books since 2003.
In addition to this work, Lance also has worked with youth in various capacities including as a counselor for teen residential program and as coordinator for youth leadership programs.
