Description
A study of the essay as a literary genre, focusing not only on its origin and development, but also on the aesthetics of the form itself. Readings will include representative ""great"" essays, some critical commentary, and a collection of essays by a major modern writer. Three lecture hours per week.
Not open to students who have received credit for ENG350.
